Join us for a Professional Womenâs Association Luncheon âThe Why Behind the Workâ.
This event will feature a panel of women in non-profit leadership roles as they discuss the impact of volunteerism both on local businesses and nonprofits.
Why it matters: The PWAâs intention is to connect the dots between nonprofits and local businesses. We firmly believe that by fostering partnerships between the two, we can create a more robust and compassionate community.
According to a Volunteerism Survey conducted in 2017, 89% of working Americans believe that companies sponsoring volunteer activities offer a better overall working environment.
Volunteering allows individuals to develop valuable skills that are transferable to the workplace, showcasing leadership abilities that may not always be recognized in a traditional work setting.
