🏗 Franklin Yards: $50M Revitalization Project Begins

Highline Partners, associated with Gastonia's FUSE, has purchased a 6-acre site (formerly the Central Branch YMCA) for just over $2 million.

The big picture: Construction for Franklin Yards is scheduled to begin in the late first quarter or early second quarter of 2024, and is expected to take two years to complete.

  • The project includes the development of over 250 market-rate apartments and 5,300 square feet of commercial space along Franklin Boulevard.

  • The estimated investment for this project is expected to surpass $50 million.

  • The team behind Franklin Yards includes local partners like Axiom Architecture, Bolton & Menk, Southpark Interiors, and Rylake Construction.
