🎉 Celebrate Salute Winners

The Gaston Business Association is proud to celebrate the 22nd Annual Salute to Business Gala, presented by First Horizon Bank, on May 22nd at the Gaston Country Club from 6pm to 9pm.

At the gala, we will be presenting 3 prestigious awards:

The Spirit of the Carolinas, sponsored by South State Bank, honors an individual behind the success of a company who has demonstrated leadership within their industry and citizenship within their community on a local, state, or national level.

• This year’s honored recipient is Tim Efird, President of Standard Distributors. A lifelong Gastonia resident, Tim is recognized for his exceptional leadership in both business and community service. His dedication is reflected through his work with organizations such as the NC Beer and Wine Wholesalers Association, CaroMont Health, the Gaston Community Foundation, and First Presbyterian Church of Gastonia. In 2021, he was awarded the Order of the Long Leaf Pine, one of North Carolina’s highest civilian honors.

  
  

The Spirit of the Economy, sponsored by Webb Custom Kitchen, is presented to a company contributing to the overall economic development efforts in Gaston County and North Carolina.

• We are proud to honor BEAM Construction as this year’s award recipient for their lasting impact on Gaston County. For the past 100 years, BEAM has helped shape our region through high-quality projects that support local jobs, boost the economy, and strengthen our communities. The Spirit of Main Street, sponsored by MECA Construction, recognizes an established development project advancing shared prosperity, economic vitality, and quality of life in one of Gaston County’s numerous downtown districts

• We are proud to recognize the Helix/R & Centennial Park Streetscape Project for its lasting impact on Downtown Cramerton. This transformative development has brought new energy to the area by blending public art, green space, and thoughtful design. From the striking Helix/R art installation to the reimagined Centennial Park, the project has created a more walkable, connected, and vibrant community for residents and visitors alike.
