🏥CaroMont Health expands orthopedic services

CaroMont Health has announced that, effective June 1, 2026, the providers and staff of Carolina Orthopaedic & Sports Medicine Center (COSMC) will officially join the CaroMont Health system—marking the next chapter in a partnership that spans nearly 75 years. Both these organizations have long worked side by side to deliver advanced orthopedic, sports medicine, and surgical care to patients across Gaston County and the surrounding region.
The big picture: As part of the integration, a new practice—CaroMont Orthopedic & Sports Medicine Center—will operate within the CaroMont Medical Group network. COSMC physicians will become employed providers of CaroMont Health while continuing to care for their established patients.
Clinical providers and staff will also have opportunities within the new practice or elsewhere in the CaroMont system.
Patients will continue seeing the same trusted physicians, now supported by CaroMont Health’s expanded resources and coordinated system of care.
