In 2025, BEAM Construction Company proudly marks 100 years of building across Cherryville, Gaston County, and the Carolinas.
Why it matters: Founded in 1925, BEAM has constructed many of the schools, churches, healthcare facilities, and public buildings that shape our region—including projects like William P. Grier Middle School, Forestview High School, the Gastonia Police Department, and numerous community landmarks. Known for self-performing much of its work, BEAM’s skilled workforce and commitment to craftsmanship have defined its reputation for a century.
The bottom line: Today, under CEO Susan B. Lewis, a valued GBA Board Member, and President Justin Boheler, BEAM continues its legacy of integrity, quality, and community investment. In 2025, the company was honored with the Gaston Business Association’s Spirit of the Economy Award in recognition of its impact on regional growth.
