🏭 $21M Investment Eyed for Gaston County

An unidentified manufacturer is contemplating a $21 million investment in a Gaston County business park. An application for state incentives for the development, known as Project Creign, has been received.

Why it matters: Apple Creek, spanning over 300 acres, has attracted $130 million in manufacturing investment since 2020, notably drawing foreign direct investment.

What’s next: If authorized, the application will seek a One N.C. grant to support Project Creign.

  • In October, the county approved incentives and land conveyance for the project, projecting the creation of 46 jobs with an average annual salary of $59,348.

  • Documents indicate the project is considering a 15.6-acre site at Apple Creek.
